Beautiful and VERY sturdy desk. My 11 year old Daughter uses it to sketch and all of her hot glue gun projects. The desk-top itself is very heavy and requires 2 people to assemble because one person will need to hold/balance it while the other person is screwing a separate part underneath it. I love the fact that it can tilt at several angles for the users’ height and back comfort. The only negative is the stool, which is just “ok”. Over time we will probably switch it out to a more comfortable one. Sometimes she uses marker and it may leave a little stain color, but it wipes down with anti-bacterial wipes just fine. Quite study when done, but the worst assembly process I have ever experienced. It was designed with no foresight on how to put it together, and no allowance was given for many of the connections. I should not have to drill my own holes into a premade desk because the holes were incorrectly spaced. Im an artist. This table is very comfortable for drawing and painting. I’m an adult of average height and weight and am very comfortable with the size of the table top and the height of the table. It feels very spacious but not bulky. I’m still looking for the chair that I want but know that I won’t have any issues with leg room. I like this table in particular because it doesn’t have side drawers beneath the table top. The side table is very sturdy and offers plenty of room to accommodate drinks and snacks. The drawer is sturdy and spacious as well. However, I would not recommend this table for crafting that requires the use of heavy equipment or supplies. There is a warning on the desk top glass when unpacking that says not to put more than 25 lbs. of weight on the desk top. This is a piece of glass. I was careful to consider my purposes for the tabletop because if the all glass feature. I paint with acrylic paint which is very forgiving. The table comes with warnings that the table does not resist staining. When I paint, I am choosing to cover the glass portion of the table top. I’m not real excited about the black side trays. They work well when the tabletop is flat. The mechanism for raising and lowering the glass is very sturdy. This drafting table is constructed very well and is sturdy but not too heavy to move around.
