It's a really nice looking dresser, the espresso color matches perfectly to any other espresso furniture you put it next to, so that's my positive. It was fairly easy to assemble, the instructions are well written in English, Spanish, and French with good pictures to show what is meant to go where, so that's my other positive.
My negative is that the materials are cheap. The rails that hold the drawers in are plastic and easily come out of place, making the drawers that much easier to fall out of the dresser itself if pulled on too hard. Already, my 3-year old son has pulled a drawer too hard and it came unhinged from the plastic rails and fell on him. Luckily, it was the second drawer from the bottom, so he was not harmed, but imagine if it had been the top drawer. This should definitely have ball bearing hinges and rails, rather than cheap plastic ones.
My other negative, and probably the biggest negative of all, is the "wood" is not wood at all, it's particle board, all but for the front of the drawers which seemingly is part wood, but backed by more particle board. Particle board can easily break apart and if this is a child's dresser, be prepared for damage. I would rather this be made from REAL wood, which would not only make it more sturdy, but also have a better finish.
Also, check to make sure all pieces are there before assembling it. We had an entire drawer missing, all but for the front face of it, and when I called to have replacement pieces sent the representative at Wayfair was VERY nice, but the representative I was then referred to at South Shore was a nightmare and not only rude but extremely unhelpful. I had to hang up and call back to "try again" and finally got someone on the phone who was helpful and knew what I needed.
