arrived in 3 days. 2 boxes. I would agree to assemble in room where it is going to go. Directions were not hard hard to follow. I was surprised due to the size. It is time consuming due to the size. The doors went better than expected. They did need adjusted at the end. I was just very surprised how everything lined up as I started to assemble. I did 2 of these. I do recommend. The doors do take 2 people as directions say. The first one took me about 5 hours as I went slow to make sure. 2nd one I did in 3 1/2 hours. So not hard but time consuming and looks great when done. Purchased two of these to serve as mudroom storage after custom built in and Lowe's standard cabinet options came in at 3k to 4k. We selected these over others based on the solid wood construction. I would say it is worth the additional cost, as the stain finish and veneer are convinving, not great but better than the laminate picture of wood many other options use. Soft close doors are a nice touch. We put cushions on the drawers to soften their close. It is sturdy and the tolerances were spot on, amazing feet in my opinion. Assembly of the first one took 4 hours, the scone one took 3. The trick to the doors is too slide the hinge out as far as permitted before staring door hanging, and use two people. Received 4 boxes total; one was small and contained the hardware, the other three were tall and heavy requiring help to carry. TIP: Unpack all components and avoid stacking too many together for easier access (some of the items we needed early on were buried at the bottom of the stack). With two people assembly took about three hours and was pretty straightforward. TIP: Plan on enlisting the services another person to make this process easier as the item gets heavier as assembly proceeds, and the final step of mounting the doors will require additional hands. Plus, the finished item is HEAVY and difficult to move around. Also allow plenty of space for assembly as the unit must be laid flat during toward the final phase of assembly. Yet overall the process was fairly painless. Instructions were as expected; drawings and arrows-LOL. They also suggested not using power tools at the risk of stripping a screw hole, although we did use cordless drill with a adjustable torque chuck especially for the hinges as there are three per door. The final product feels solid, looks elegant and is quite impressive considering that it began as individual parts in separate boxes. One change I made was that we did not use the provided wooden hanger boards and used some metal conduit instead (see pic). I simply prefer metal hanger bars over wood as they are less likely to bend over time from the clothing weight. In conclusion, this was just what we were looking for! We needed more hanging capacity than shelf storage and this works. My wife was able to transfer a full length closet of hanging items into this, plus shoes and folded items. Ceiling height was limited on the right side and 72 inches was as wide as we could go. Otherwise, a darn near perfect fit! So far and overall, very pleased with this item!
