This lamp is very pretty and excellent quality (the shade too), I just wish the cord wasn't brown. Higher end lamps usually have clear cords so they don't show against light colored furniture and walls. I took my chances that this one would be like that, and was dismayed at the ugly dark brown cord which is very hard to conceal. I'm thinking of painting the cord to help camouflage it better.
