This lamp is very pretty and excellent quality (the shade too), I just wish the cord wasn't brown. Higher end lamps usually have clear cords so they don't show against light colored furniture and walls. I took my chances that this one would be like that, and was dismayed at the ugly dark brown cord which is very hard to conceal. I'm thinking of painting the cord to help camouflage it better. Lovely, relatively narrow table lamp for our formal living room. Good quality construction with higher-quality metal fittings than found on most lamps. In fact this is probably the best quality metal parts on any of our lamps, some costing much more. The shade is beautifully made and couldn't be finer. I'm impressed with this manufacturer's quality, and I'll favor their products as I make future purchases. The packing was exceptional as well.
